I like carnations. They are ruffly, smell good, and last a long time.
Another thing I like is my new sleep mask -- it blocks all the light & is comfortable. I hardly care that I wake up looking like I got into a fight from all the pillowy-pressing.
Honestly, there is hardly any light in our bedroom with the blackout curtains and shutters except the smoke-detector's ready light, but somehow by now I can't sleep without it, like a lovey. I guess it's good for travel, yk, when I am in a strange bed & feeling stressed-out.
Also, sleeping + stressed-out: I am chewing my teeth right out of my face. A tooth + two crowns in the last five years. I have an occlusal guard but because I am not a chewer but a clencher it only gives me a terrible headache to grip on that bulky thing all night. More exercise, more yoga, my acupuncturist sticks needles right in my face, ugh.
Last night, Fille & I stayed up too-too late watching half of Man on Fire bc we felt homesick for Mexico City and wanted to see it in the background. We also had hoped for a situation like when we watched Amores Perros over winter break, where in the montage of the assassin stalking his target, a car pulled out of the garage of the building across the street from the apartment we rented last summer & we were like OMG!!! Of all the blocks Cuarón could have filmed, of all the apartments we could have rented ...
Anyway, we had to turn it off after the nightclub blew up because I had to go to bed, seriously, and there was another hour left of the movie. I miss Tony Scott, I wish he were still here making movies.
The laundry is beeping see you x
