There is a nice array of hot-drink recipes in the last GP cookbook. I have modified one for best use at my house.
- 2tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1tbsp "coconut palm" sugar
- 1tbsp ground ginger (from a fresh jar/bag, not a sticky one from the back of the cupboard)
- 2tbsp almond butter
- 1tbsp tahini
- 2c/16oz/500g water
Blend everything rr-rrr-rrrr-rr. Fill a mug halfway & top with hot water at yr leisure. (I use my trusty, aged Zojirushi!)
If feel rundown & whiny, exhausted by the media's fearmongering over the flu, I will make a half-pot (2c/16oz/500g) of strong ginger tea to use it instead of the water. Vacuum flasks are called into use, in that case.
